Strengths
- The theme - top ten films - good, solid, easy to understand - very visual.
- Obviously approaching appropriate areas of contextual reference. Take note from the individuality of each sequence through its stylised aesthetic. Idea is nice and broad with good scope for visual investigation.
- Storyboards? List? Time consideration - achievable? Need to sort out a direction.
- Appropriateness of the pencil drawings? We worry why you are recreating images with pencil? (to be fair, these images aren't finished).
Strengths
- The content on what's available is a good indication of what will be seen in the finished video.
- More exploration, ideas, storyboards, more design context, look at what the most iconic images are of the picked films.
- Get straight onto storyboarding, maybe start with mini sequences and look at ways of joining them... Starting with drawing assets out of a plan formed only in your head might end up as a huge waste of valuable time. Get down a formalised concept.
Improvements
- What style am I going for? 2D, 3D, digital? Cut outs straight from films?
- Start to nail down what it is. How will things move into the frame? Out of the frame? How will you introduce all the elements?
AdditionalHow long will it take? Lots to consider
Think about smaller idents.
I find these comments very fair - I am very behind due to being off for some time - however aiming to catch up this weekend and hopefully get back on track and get up to speed with everyone else.
ACTION PLAN:
- FIND KEY SEQUENCES / ELEMENTS TO USE
- THINK ABOUT LINKING
- STORYBOARDING
- TYPE CHOICES
- SOUND?
- ONCE A PLAN / STORY BOARD HAS BEEN DEVELOPED AND FINALISED THEN START ON THE ASSETS. (THIS WAS THE MOST VALUABLE FEEDBACK I GOT).
